The 12 nights around Jul have always been regarded as a special time and powerful nights for rituals.

They begin either on the night of 20/21 December and end on 01.January or, depending on the region, on the night of 24/25 December and end on the night of 5/6 January, from 00:00 to 24:00.

Those nights are a time of silence, of reflection, of purification and a time to look back on the old year and look forward to the new one to come. The 12 days/nights symbolise the 12 months of the new year and are ideal for actively shaping the year ahead.
